oh hi

I know, its been a few days. But listen. I had a few minor setbacks. I got ill, and then I got lazy. I have not gone to the gym once this week. But I have not lost the drive, I have simply slept in. I know. Lame. But its on my mind at least two times a day because I drive right by it when I go to work and then come home from work.
Also I have gone a little crazy, like off my rocker. I had a few slip ups with meat. I know. A year and a half without it, then boom! Out the window. In all fairness when I got sick a couple months ago with anemia, it really flipped me for a loop. I have never felt like that in my whole life, and I am certain that until that happens to you (I hope it doesn't) you will never understand.
So I lost sight of my goals, and (food) morals..... but I am back on track. No meat. Also I am going to pick up a vegan diet again. Boise has an amazing co-op that has everything I could ever want or need to this goal to be successful. However I do realize the holidays are coming up. I am going to cut myself some slack. Still no meat, but I am going to let myself have those milky mashed potatoes, and cheese cake. I know, I know. I could probably find some alternative recipes. I actually have that as part of my goal too so I can help my mom in the kitchen, and maybe even talk some other family members into trying it too. I know LBQ would be down for it. Its the other members.....

  1. Um yes you should cut yourself some slack. I think it is easier to master one thing at a time and then once that is mastered focus on another. Doesn't mean you can't work on more than one thing at a time, but pick 1 thing to really work on. you are doing great - did you eat cow or chicken? maybe some pig?

  2. It was the cow! Darn those burgers. Never the pig. Yuck.
